Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.

2. In class: We continued our discussion of THEME using the short story "Retired". We wrote On-Demand Literary Essays about this short story. These quick writes will serve as our "pre-tests" that we will look back on as we complete the mini-lessons about Literary Essay.
3. Homework:
-Every Night: During your nightly 30 minutes of reading, continue to jot Theories, Evidence, and Signposts in your Reader's Notebook.
-December R&E due TOMORROW, 12/16/14
-Spelling #4 - Due Wednesday, 12/17/14

Social Studies

2. In class: We presented our Social Class Skits depicting the daily life in Ancient Egypt.
3. Homework:
-Work on your Review and study for the Chapter 7&9 Test - This Thursday, 12/18/14. (The review will be due on the day of the test).
