Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.

2. In class: Today we had our class spelling bees for 5th graders and 6th graders. The classroom winners were: Jack M., Toland C., Adam F., and Jack H. Congratulations!!
3. Homework:
-Every Night: During your nightly 30 minutes of reading, continue to jot Theories, Evidence, and Signposts in your Reader's Notebook.
-Grammar #3 (Adjectives) due Wednesday, 12/10/14.
-December R&E due Tuesday, 12/16/14
-READ for 40 Book Challenge

Social Studies
1. Due today: ISN 52-54, UNIT 1 Test Reflection
2. In class: We continued our exploration of the geography of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Kush, and Ancient Canaan. We discussed our answers to the activity questions from last week. We also worked on applying our understanding of environmental factors and their impact on early settlement with the Chapter 7 Processing Activity. We will finish working on these tomorrow in class (you will have approximately 15 minutes).
3. Homework:
-ISN 55 if not done in class - we will have 15 more minutes to work in class tomorrow.
-Current Events/News Report due 11/17-12/12 (check the Wiki for your date).
