Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your BOOK CLUB MATERIALS (novel, folder, Reader's Notebook).
1. Due today: Finish Book Club Reading Day 5
2. In class: Historical Fiction Book Clubs (READING DAY 6) - Mini-Lesson using Read-Aloud of "Number the Stars" - Close reading of important passages to find any important details you may have missed. Group Discussions - Briefly recap the novel so far. Re-read important passages to talk about significant details you may have missed on your first read-through. Continue reading your Book Club novel and record Timeline events and Signposts. (Check Book Club Wiki for chapters read).

2. In class: Continue Chapter 17 - Processing Activity: Create a Website for King Ashoka that details who he was, why he was so important, his four main goals for India, and his edicts. This should be done on blank paper or digitally (your choice!)
