Homeroom/Announcements
-HOMEWORK: Practice your Student-Led Conference at least twice before your conference. Try taking a video or audio recording to critique yourself! Use your peers' comments and suggestions from Monday's class to improve your overall presentation. BRING ALL THE MATERIALS YOU PLAN TO SHARE WITH YOU TO YOUR CONFERENCE!

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The BCS-Bees will be having yet another sale during Spring Conferences! This time we will be selling our candles, pins, magnets, hair-clips, lip balm, clay figurines, and cookbooks! We will also be passing out informational materials and spreading the word about saving the bees. In order to make this activity a success, we need students to volunteer at the sale table in the main hallway. If you are interested in signing up, please have your parent email Ms. Leach with the time slot you would like to work. The available times are: Wednesday 6-8 and Thursday 1-4 AND 5-8. Just one hour of your time would be a huge help! Thanks for continuing to help "Save the Bees!"

Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your BOOK CLUB MATERIALS (novel, folder, Reader's Notebook).
1. Due today: Finish Book Club Reading Day 7
2. In class: Historical Fiction Book Clubs (READING DAY 8) - Mini-Lesson: Read Ch. 6 of Number the Stars and continue to collect evidence related to the claims we already have. Group Discussions - Work together to formulate claims (important ideas) about your Book Club novel. Continue reading your Book Club novel and record evidence in your folder. (Check Book Club Wiki for chapters read).
3. Homework:
-Spelling #7 due TOMORROW
-Finish Reading Book Club Day 8 - due Thursday
-March R&E due 3-30-15
-Every night: Read 30 minutes and complete READING LOG with parent signature - Logs due each Monday


Social Studies
1. Due today: Ch. 17 Processing if not turned in yesterday
2. In class: Begin working on the Study Guide. Work as a group on #5-7 to compare/contrast Civilizations and Empires. Independent work time for remainder of Study Guide. We will have more work time tomorrow during Social Studies
3. Homework:
-India Unit Study Guide responses due this Friday. India Unit Test will be Monday, 3/23/15 (Ch. 13-17)
-Current Events Round 3 due 3/23/15-4/22/15 - Check Wiki for your due date
