Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your BOOK CLUB MATERIALS (novel, folder, Reader's Notebook).
1. Due today: Book Club Day 9 Reading
2. In class: Historical Fiction Book Clubs (READING DAY 10) - Mini-Lesson: Read Number the Stars Ch. 7 and discuss how to create "quick writes" about the novel. Verbalize multiple examples of "quick write" topic sentences and walk through how to complete a full "quick write". Group Discussions - Discuss what you plan to write for today's quick write using the prompts in your folder. Write a one paragraph quick write that follows the CLAIM, EVIDENCE, REASONING, SYNTHESIS format. Turn it in to Ms. Leach. Continue reading your Book Club novel and record evidence in your folder. (Check Book Club Wiki for chapters read).

-Finish Reading Book Club Day 10 - due Monday
-March R&E due 3-30-15
-Every night: Read 30 minutes and complete READING LOG with parent signature - Logs due each Monday
Social Studies
1. Due today: Study Guide for Unit Test
2. In class: Jeopardy game to review for Unit Test.
3. Homework:
-India Unit Test will be Monday, 3/23/15 (Ch. 13-17) Use your Study Guide, old tests, old ISN activities and notes, and the Jeopardy game (posted to SS Wiki) to study!
-Current Events Round 3 due 3/23/15-4/22/15 - Check Wiki for your due date
