Language Arts

Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.
1. Due today: Nothing.
2. In class: Today we continued our class Read-Aloud of Wonder. We will be using this novel as an example to practice building theories about characters in our own novels. We will also continue to hunt for Notice and Note Signposts along the way. If not finished in class, complete Active Involvement as homework. Active Involvement Assignment: Turn to your AGAIN & AGAIN SIGNPOSTS section. Find one important Again & Again that stands out. Turn to your THEORIES COLLECTION page and jot down:
- What theory can you develop for this A&A?
- What theme is emerging from this A&A?
- How does this A&A affect the character(s)?
3. Homework:
-Active Involvement (see above) if not finished in class. Due 11/14/14
-November R&Es due Monday, 11/24/14.
-Grammar Packet #2 (Nouns) due 11/18/14.

2. In class: We continued reading Chapter 5 and completing the corresponding pages in our ISN.
