Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.

2. In class: Today we continued our class Read-Aloud of Wonder. We will be using this novel as an example to practice building theories about characters in our own novels. We will also continue to hunt for Notice and Note Signposts along the way.

Social Studies
1. Due today: ISN 28 INCLUDING Processing Activity
2. In class: We wrapped up Chapter 4 today with an interesting examination of an archeologist who studied Ancient Sumer. We watched a short review video to prepare for our test. Tomorrow, we will be completing the Chapter 4 Review. That review will be due Monday. Test is Tuesday.
3. Homework:
-Current Events/News Report parent signature due TOMORROW
-Current Events/News Report due 11/17-12/12 (check the Wiki for your date)

4. Please note: The Chapter 4 Test is tentatively scheduled for 11/11/14. At the end of this Unit (right before Thanksgiving Break), we will be having a cumulative "Unit Test" on Chapters 1, 3, 4, 5.
