Language Arts
Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day. Also bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.

2. In class: Today we continued our class Read-Aloud of Wonder. We are using this novel as an example to practice building theories about characters in our own novels. We will also continue to hunt for Notice and Note Signposts along the way.
3. Homework:
-Grammar Packet #2 (Nouns) due TOMORROW 11/19/14.
-Active Involvement from in class if you didn't finish. Use the prompt below. Due tomorrow.
(Comparing Characters' Challenges: What challenges has your character had to overcome? What other characters have had to overcome similar challenges and obstacles? What does this tell you about the characters? What life lesson does this teach you as a person?

Social Studies
1. Due today: ISN 38 (Ch. 5 Processing)
2. In class: Ms. Leach passed back our old tests for Chapters 1, 3, and 4. These should be used to study for the Unit 1 Test. Chapter 5 will also be on the Unit 1 Test. We also had in class time to work on the Unit 1 Study Guide and begin rereading the chapters. We will be checking the Study Guide and working on more study tools on Thursday and Friday of this week.
3. Homework:
-Parent Signature and bottom portion of Unit 1 Study Guide DUE Thursday, 11/20/14.
-Study for the UNIT 1 TEST (chapters 1, 3, 4, 5). It will be on 11/24/14.
-Current Events/News Report due 11/17-12/12 (check the Wiki for your date).
