Language Arts
1. Daily reading.
2. Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day.
3. Bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.
4. In class: Today we began our class Read-Aloud of Wonder. We will be using this novel as an example to practice building theories about characters in our own novels. We will also continue to hunt for Notice and Note Signposts along the way.
5. Homework:
-The Spelling Packet is due Tuesday, 10/28/14.
-Spelling Test 10/28/14.
-October R&Es for 6TH GRADERS ONLY due 10/29/14
-All missing assignments due Wednesday, 10/29/14
Social Studies
1. Due today: None
2. In class: The Chapter 3 Test was finished in class yesterday. We got to look at our results and then handed them back to Ms. Leach for safe keeping.
3. Homework: Check PowerSchool! All missing assignments due Wednesday, 10/29/14.
4. Please note: The Chapter 4 Test is tentatively scheduled for 11/11/14. At the end of the Unit (right before Thanksgiving Break), we will be having a cumulative "Unit Test" on Chapters 1, 3, 4, 5.
