We welcome back Ms. Andrea Leach to the Fitz-Brown team. Ms. Leach started working with students today!


Language Arts
1. Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day.
2. Bring your Writer's Notebook and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.
3. We introduced the concept of concrete words and phrases to energize our writing today.
4. No other homework.


Social Studies
1. See, Think, Wonder was checked in today.
2. Students worked on putting the nine ancient civilizations in order from oldest to youngest today. They chose two pieces of evidence to indicate the relative age of the civilization. They then used those pieces of evidence to explain their reasoning for placing the civilization in that order of age. This activity is DUE TOMORROW.


Homeroom
1. If you need to email Mrs. Jacobs, mail to jj04bps@birmingham.k12.mi.us. Ms. Leach will have an email set up soon.
2. Please send in $2 for the bandanas you received at camp. Mrs. Jacobs has two bandanas that were found in various locations at camp. Please see her if you think one might be yours!
3. Mrs. Jacobs has posted about 250 photos from 5/6 Camp! The link to the DropBox is on yesterday's post. If you have photos to share, send an email so you can be added to the contributors. A link to share the DropBox will be sent to you, directly. Please rename your photos so you don't accidentally overwrite someone else's photos. A suggestion is to use your last name and then number the photos (i.e., Jacobs01.jpg, Jacobs02.jpg, etc.).
