Thursday, 9/25/14

Language Arts
1. Daily reading.
2. Bring a "just right" silent reading book to class every day.
3. Bring your Reader's and Writer's Notebooks and an appropriate writing utensil to class every day.
4. Today we continued to conference and shared out our concrete words practice in our Personal Narratives. We also moved on to discuss sensory images in reading and writing and practiced including them in our stories.
5. No other homework.

Social Studies

1. We checked the "Basic Map Components Activity" as a class.
2. Today's map skills activity included creating our own Home to School Map. If this was not completed in class, we will finish in class tomorrow.

Homeroom

1. Ms. Leach's email is now working! al10bps@birmingham.k12.mi.us
2. Rouge River Field Trip Forms due Monday
3. T-shirt order forms due Monday

4. Please send in $2 for the bandanas you received at camp. Mrs. Jacobs has two bandanas that were found in various locations at camp. Please see her if you think one might be yours!
5. Mrs. Jacobs has posted about 250 photos from 5/6 Camp! The link to the DropBox is on yesterday's post. If you have photos to share, send an email so you can be added to the contributors. A link to share the DropBox will be sent to you, directly. Please rename your photos so you don't accidentally overwrite someone else's photos. A suggestion is to use your last name and then number the photos (i.e., Jacobs01.jpg, Jacobs02.jpg, etc.).
